The RNG Coalition is a member-led non-profit that advocates for increased use of renewable natural gas and works to educate the public about the benefits of renewable natural gas. The RNG Coalition boasts a diverse group of members that include groups from all areas of the RNG industry which enables their goals of education and advocacy. In 2018, the RNG Coalition is focused “to provide public policy advocacy and education that will enable the number of RNG projects in North America to double from 51 in 2015 to more than 100 projects by the year 2025.” To promote their goal, the RNG Coalition works with the federal government and local governments to advocate for RNG within programs like the U.S. Renewable Fuel Standard and California Low Carbon Fuel Standard which allow RNG projects to flourish.
The RNG Coalition is also dedicated to hosting and attending events that promote collaboration and educations such as the 2018 RNG Conference, the RNG Expo, and the RNG Summit. The 2018 RNG Conference will be held on December 3rd to the 6th. San Joaquin Renewables will send a representative to the conference to develop and progress business relationships within the RNG space. Membership in the RNG Coalition allows San Joaquin Renewables to participate in other events such as the RNG Summit to influence policymaking and the RNG Works to share and learn about RNG technologies.
